The First Ayurvedic conference was held at the Shangri la Hotel on 29 June 2016, in Singapore. This International seminar revealed some astonishing truths about holistic healthcare in Ayurveda and the scope and challenges of Ayurvedic practice in Singapore.

The conference comprised a total of 14 sessions including in-depth lectures on diverse topics from Ayurveda and Yoga, panel discussions and question-answer sessions by renowned practitioners from India as well as local practioners.

The aim of the Conference was to provide a platform for discussion on Ayurveda as well as bring together students, doctors, academicians, eminent scholars, manufacturers and others involved in the practice of traditional Ayurvedic medicine to explore the various possibilities and potential in the field of Ayurveda and address crucial challenges for the future of Ayurveda in Singapore.
This being the first International Conference on Ayurveda in Singapore we note that it took amazing amount of effort and dedication to successfully run such an event and kudos to all those in the planning committee; however we also see the need for many things to be done better. The conference has attempted to set a trend and keep the Ayurveda fraternity of Singapore abreast of the latest developments in the field. We hope to conduct more such conferences, workshops and seminars to strengthen and widen international participation and further the involvement of the members from the industry in the future conferences.
